Job summary

Pomp’s Tire Service, Inc. is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our team in Kentucky. You will perform oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacements, and related maintenance to keep vehicles safe and on the road.

Ideal candidates will have passenger automotive experience and familiarity with commercial tires, plus the ability to use common shop tools. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Commercial tire knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with passenger vehicles is required.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and tire tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacements, and more.
• Maintain and replace tires to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
• Care for and maintain tools and equipment for proper function.
• Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles for maintenance or repair issues.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager to support operations.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform a variety of mechanical services, including oil changes, tire alignments, brake and shock replacements, and more
• Maintain and replace tires as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Care for and maintain tools and equipment to ensure their proper function
• Troubleshoot customer needs and inspect vehicles for any additional maintenance or repair issues
• Keep the work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient environment
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by the manager to support operations

What You Need:

• Commercial Tire knowledge preferred
• Passenger automotive knowledge/experience required
• Ability to use basic hand tools, tire tools, alignment machines, air wrench and other essential tools
• Ability to lift, push, carry, and/or move a maximum of 100 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to bend, stretch, lift, push, pull and reach without difficulty. Frequent kneeling and bending over the back
