Role: Mechanic
The core responsibilities of this role include:
- Troubleshoot and repair all mechanical equipment as assigned.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams.
- Use troubleshooting tools (Root Cause Analysis).
- Take action to repair equipment, including modification of design, replacement of parts, and adjustment of equipment settings.
- Assess material requirements and place requisitions.
- Maintain all mechanical equipment as assigned.
- Implement improvements to equipment.
- Return equipment to standard.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Organize and maintain all technical documentation for assigned equipment.
- Communicate equipment status, issues, and action plans clearly with supervisors, mechanics, operators, and other employees across shifts and departments, including effective shift change handoffs and appropriate escalation.
- Ensure production lines meet established efficiency metrics.
- Train others within the job function and work towards becoming a Subject Matter Expert as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadership Team.
Position Details:
Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday - Thursday, 11 pm - 7 am
Pay: $25+ per hour
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Trade School Certifications
- MHE Certifications
- Experience with high-speed packaging equipment, including human interface robots and recipe storage (desirable)
- At least 1 year of MHE repair and maintenance experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a production environment
- At least 1 year of experience as an Industrial Mechanic or similar role

Role Purpose:
Maintain and repair warehouse vehicles, including forklifts, trailers, conveyors, and power equipment. Provide mechanical support, diagnosis, and solutions for a delivery system, including preventative maintenance, major repairs, and accident repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule daily maintenance work.
- Perform repairs on forklifts, conveyors, and other warehouse equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance programs.
- Review inspection forms for maintenance needs.
- Ensure maintenance work meets company standards.
- Monitor vehicle condition and driver compliance.
- Manage parts inventory efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Additional Requirements:
- Pass Department of Transportation exam.
- Pass a mechanical aptitude test.
- Minimum 6 months related experience.
- 2-5 years of equipment maintenance experience.
- 1 year of fleet experience.
