Job summary

TICO Tractors in Jacksonville, FL is hiring mechanics of all skill levels for all shifts. The role involves safety checks, diagnostics, and repairs on trucks and equipment with potential overtime and a sign-on bonus.

Training is available to qualified candidates, and we train the right person to become proficient. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in heavy truck or equipment repair, with experience in electrical, hydraulic, or A/C systems.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in heavy truck or equipment repair.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, or A/C systems preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DEF, brake and air systems.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

TICO is hiringMechanics, All Skill Levels/All Shiftsat our site in Jacksonville, FL.This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits,sign on bonusand lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are truckswe build at our plant in Ridgeland S.C.They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, less for a mechanic to have to learn to become proficient and…...we can train the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DEF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.

The ideal candidate will possess preferably 2+year experience in either/or:

• Heavy truck repair
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
• Forklift or construction equipment repair.
• Automotive maintenance and repair.
• Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program.

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.

Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available.)
