Job description

TICO is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels /All Shifts at our site in Charleston, SC. This position is typically an 8‑hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland, SC. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, so a mechanic does not have to learn multiple configurations, and we can train the right candidate!

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/c, steering, cooling, DEF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilizes computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance‑related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicates needed repairs or tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate

• Heavy truck repair.
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
• Forklift or construction equipment repair.
• Automotive maintenance and repair.
• Completion of a diesel or automotive technical program.

Good attitude, willingness to learn and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.

Must maintain your own tool set (company‑provided tool program available).
