Job summary

TICO is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels /All Shifts at our Jacksonville, FL site. This position is typically an 8-hour shift with occasional overtime and a sign-on bonus.

Great pay, benefits, and lots of room for growth are offered; most of our fleet is built at our Ridgeland plant, with standardized power packages that keep training straightforward. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in heavy truck or equipment repair, or automotive maintenance, and may have completed a diesel or automotive tech

Qualifications

• 2+ years in heavy truck repair or related field preferred.
• Experience with electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling and brake systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance software and proper documentation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DEF, brake and air systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as assigned.
• Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Document parts usage and repair times in the fleet maintenance system.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA standards.

Job description

TICO is hiring Mechanics, All Skill Levels /All Shifts at our site in Jacksonville, FL. This position is typically an 8-hour shift, with occasional overtime. Great pay, benefits, sign on bonus and lots of room for growth! 95% of our fleet are trucks we build at our plant in Ridgeland S.C. They all have the same power package and driveline. They are mirror images of each other, less for a mechanic to have to learn to become proficient and…... we can train the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, A/C, steering, cooling, DEF, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
• Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Ability to utilize computer software diagnostic systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews, completes, or assigns repairs.
• Performs maintenance related work as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Effectively communicate needed repairs or tasks.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will possess preferably 2+ year experience in either/or:

• Heavy truck repair
• Heavy, medium duty or farm equipment repair.
• Forklift or construction equipment repair.
• Automotive maintenance and repair.
• Completion of a diesel or automotive tech program.

Good attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic is a preferred quality.

Must maintain your own tool set (company provided tool program available.)
