Job summary

Ohio Transmission Corporation is seeking a Rotating Equipment Technician to install, align, dismantle, and maintain industrial machinery. You will work with experienced technicians and engineers, performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

This role offers competitive pay ranging from $25 to $40 per hour, dependent on experience, plus comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) with company match, PTO, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred.
• 2–4 years in industrial/mechanical maintenance or field service.
• Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills and hands-on equipment maintenance experience.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Experience using hand and power tools in an industrial setting.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on more complex tasks.
• Physical ability to lift equipment and stand for extended periods.
• Exposure to rotating equipment (pumps, motors, compressors) preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field service work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance on rotating and fixed equipment.
• Inspect components for wear, damage, and alignment issues; escalate as needed.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and support repairs or component replacements.
• Maintain records of work performed, parts used, and time spent in CMMS or job-tracking systems.
• Operate hand and power tools to complete maintenance and installation tasks.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with the installation, alignment, dismantling, and movement of industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
• Participate in ongoing training and development to expand technical skills.
