Job summary

Ruppert Landscape seeks a Mechanic in our Baltimore-area in-house fleet team to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of fleet vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and landscape tools.

You will recondition vehicles twice yearly, maintain a clean, safe shop, document services, and support operations with strong communication and a proactive approach to quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Safety-first mindset and adherence to safety regulations.
• Minimum of one year of hands-on mechanical experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with gas/diesel vehicles and landscaping equipment.
• Ability to supply personal tools as needed for the role.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

• Keen attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
• Experience with diesel engines; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles and equipment including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and landscape tools.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.

• Provide exceptional internal customer service with emphasis on efficiency, quality, and communication.

Where You Fit In

As a Mechanic on our in-house fleet team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and servicing a wide range of vehicles and equipment, including diesel/gas trucks, commercial mowers, and two-cycle equipment. This role is essential in upholding our company's image and keeping our operations teams working safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment, including power equipment, mowers, trucks, trailers, and other landscape tools
• Recondition vehicles and equipment twice a year to ensure they meet company image standards and are safe, reliable, and ready for use
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment
• Accurately document and maintain service and repair records
• Provide exceptional internal customer service, prioritizing efficiency, quality, and communication
