Job summary

Actalent seeks experienced Mechanical Engineers to design and evaluate frontier AI model outputs on real engineering tasks. You will author realistic scenarios, analyze CAD assemblies, perform tolerance and stack-up checks, and provide rigorous assessments against professional standards.

Work is fully remote with long-form tasks and self-direction; strong written reasoning is essential. Candidates should bring CAD proficiency, AI tool familiarity, and manufacturing insight.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Min 2 years of relevant experience.
• In progress or higher in mechanical engineering field.
• Depth in at least one area: design/CAD, structures/materials, thermal/fluids, dynamics/controls, manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and review challenging mechanical tasks and analyses.
• Run tasks through frontier AI models and evaluate outputs.
• Compare model outputs and document strengths/weaknesses.
• Create graded prompts with rubrics and acceptance criteria.
