Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Meat Wrapper to wrap, box and label fresh cut meat items for distribution. The role includes cleaning production rooms to meet SSOP and HACCP requirements, picking and packing orders, scanning products, transporting and sorting items, palletizing and shipping as needed.

Candidates should have at least one year of production or warehouse experience and be able to work overtime. The environment is refrigerated and some shifts may include freezer work; safety and sanitation

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders per customer specification.
• Scan product to capture required data.
• Transport product and package accordingly using prescribed equipment.
• Sort, organize, repack, palletize, track, weight and break down products to assist production.
• Ship and receive product using material handling equipment.
• Perform facility sanitation duties as required.
• Operate production equipment for processing.
• Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
• Overtime may be required.

Pick and pack orders per customer specification Scan product as directed to capture required data Transport Product and package accordingly utilizing prescribed equipment Sort, organize, repack, palletize, track, weight and break down various products to assist production as needed. Ship and receive product utilizing assigned material handling equipment. Perform various facility sanitation duties as required. Operate assigned production equipment utilized for further processing Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned by management. This position could require overtime with or without notice, finish time is when the work is completed.

Related Experience Related Experience/Requirements:

• Minimum one year production and/or warehouse experience required, preferably in a food environment
• Able to work overtime as needed

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Perform various roles including activities such as product receiving and selection, packaging, sorting, reboxing, ,and facility sanitation while adhering to company manufacturing requirements and safety regulations.

Work Environment

Work continually in refrigerated environment 35F- 45Fdegrees
Must be able to work for periods of time in freezer 10F to - 10F degrees

The expected base rate for this role is between $25.94-$26.00/hour. This role may also receive overtime compensation.
