Minimum Requirements:
- Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
- Qualified to operate power tools and job equipment (automatic wrapper, slicer, grinder, etc.).
- Ability to work safely with chemical cleaning solutions.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and assist team members.
- Capable of handling stressful situations tactfully and calmly, making positive impressions on customers and colleagues.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in meat work or similar food preparation roles.
- Dependability and integrity reflected in past work history.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations (OSHA, food handling, employment practices).
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and display merchandise neatly and efficiently.
- Ensure product quality, freshness, safety, and proper rotation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
- Keep carts, tools, and supplies organized and floors clean and safe.
- Manage display cases, unload trucks, and prepare merchandise for sale.
- Provide excellent customer and team member relations.
- Sanitize equipment following company and health department policies.
- Create a positive, friendly impression on customers.
- Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Promptly and cheerfully assist customers, greet them, and help locate products.
- Follow all applicable laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhere to dress code, grooming, and sanitation standards.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and safe.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
