Job summary

US Foods is seeking a 1st shift Meat Trimmer at the Stock Yards Facility in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include trimming, portioning, labeling, and setting up cutting rooms in a refrigerated environment. Must have 6 months of trimming experience; Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

Work hours are 9:00 am to 5:30 pm (OT) on weekdays, with benefits and safety requirements. Prior experience with meat production equipment is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience as a trimmer required.
• Experience with laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment preferred.
• Kitchen prep experience and basic knife skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Trim fat and skin from meat and customize portions per specs.
• Count and stack portions on trays according to customer and company specs.
• Label portions with supplied product labels.
• Set up cutting room as required and keep area clean and sanitized.
• Follow GMP to maintain sanitary conditions and work in refrigerated environment.
