Tyson Foods in Newbern, TN is seeking a production associate to set up equipment for startup and move meat between departments. You will follow strict safety and SQF 2000 guidelines, keep areas clean, and perform tasks assigned by supervisory staff.

The role requires physical endurance in cold environments and lifting up to 50 pounds. The position is full-time on the 1ST SHIFT with potential Saturday work, and pays $22.45 per hour.

Job Details:Schedule - Monday - Friday with possible Saturday'sHours - 7:00 am - 4:00 pmPay - 22.45/Hr.Job Description:Set up equipment in preparation for startup, and responsible for transportation of meat to and from department, while also being able to adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.Monitor production area for trash and debris on floor.Perform various other tasks as assigned by Lead person, Supervisor or Superintendent.All employees are responsible for upholding the principals of SQF 2000.REQUIREMENTS:Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.Must be willing and able to work cycles in less than 20 seconds.Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.This position does not accept rehiresMust have 6 months of continuous employment in the last 18 MThs of relevant machine operator, warehouse, agricultural or production experience.Relocation Assistance Eligible:NoWork Shift:1ST SHIFT (United States of America)Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
