Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is seeking a meat department team member to provide fast, friendly service and maintain quality control. Responsibilities include cutting meat, wrapping and labeling, and ensuring sanitation and safety standards.

You will operate the meat department in the absence of the meat manager and support store objectives with accurate case layout and customer service. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 6-12 months of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful customer service at all times.
• Smile, make eye contact and thank customers after requests.
• Maintain neat, clean workstation per 5S standards.
• Cut meat using knives, saws, cubers, slicers and grinders.
• Operate meat department in absence of the meat manager.
• Wrap, weigh, label and display meat merchandise properly.
• Adhere to meat department standards for case layout and trim specs.
• Follow sanitation and temperature guidelines per policy.
• Maintain grind logs and meat logs per store policy.
• Receive all meat merchandise (DSD and warehouse).
• Control shrink with related policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
