Job summary

FreshDirect, LLC seeks a Junior Supply Planner in the Meat category to manage day-to-day planning, purchasing, and replenishment across Bronx warehouse locations. You will liaise with vendors, receiving, inventory control, and accounting to ensure timely orders, accurate invoices, and optimized stock levels.

A bachelor's degree and SAP experience are preferred. Candidates with 1 year in food operations, strong analytical skills, and a proactive mindset will thrive in our fast-paced, NYC-based

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or demonstrated capability to perform responsibilities.
• At least 1 year in food-focused industry operations, merchandising or procurement.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite; SAP knowledge strongly preferred.
• Experience managing procurement and vendor management for perishable products.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Write and manage purchase orders for the Meat department.
• Maintain and update SAP source and requisition configuration.
• Follow up with vendors on deliveries, stock, expiration, and pricing.
• Schedule and reconcile goods pickups, returns, and credits with vendors and accounting.
• Review manufacturing settings for raw materials and adjust to create efficiencies.
• Validate vendor invoices for correct pricing and quantities.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely, accurate receiving.
