Job summary

FreshDirect in New York, NY is seeking a Merchandising Analyst to support item setup and ensure accuracy of new item paperwork while coordinating cross-functional merchandising planning. You will help with product sourcing, eCommerce content planning, and the grocery supply chain.

The role requires 1 year of retail or eCommerce experience, strong organizational skills, and Excel proficiency to deliver timely, accurate item data and support promotions.

Qualifications

• Analytically-minded with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills including presentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and exceptional follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly in Excel.
• 1 year of experience in retail, eCommerce, or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Performs varied administrative duties for their assigned function within Fresh Merchandising.
• Manages item submission paperwork accuracy for category team, and provide to them for timeline entry into pricing system.
• Inputs new data into forms, and works with Master Data team to facilitate new item setup and any needed product Master Data changes.
• Processes changes to data required and maintains log of actions related to change.
• Maintains department records and files.
• As necessary, supports cross-functional projects such as promotional execution, holiday planning, eCommerce content planning, and other Merchandising initiatives.
• Corrects inaccurate data and maintains documentation of action or communication related to correction.
• Assists with the validation of vendor submitted deals.
