Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a dynamic Meat Department Host to greet guests, ensure friendly service, and promote selling throughout the Beef Shoppe. You will work to achieve sales targets while maintaining fresh, properly dated meat and seafood offerings in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include inventory management, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and guidance to hosts to maintain top service levels. This role requires 18+ years of age and ability to work in cold conditions.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and selling skills; outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others and engage guests.
• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work in cold environments.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and maintain a selling environment in the Beef Shoppe.
• Meet budgeted sales and gross profits for meat and seafood.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure in-stock conditions.
• Operate department per merchandising programs and guidelines.
• Ensure high quality, fresh products and proper dating.
• Uphold safety and sanitation in prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Provide training and feedback to hosts to ensure performance.
• Assist with product prep, receiving, stocking, and guest service.
• Help manage labor budget and scheduling to maximize sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
