Job summary

Kj's Market is hiring for a Meat and Seafood Department host role. You will greet guests, use selling skills to create a welcoming environment, and help drive sales in a fast-paced, family-owned store.

We offer weekly pay, benefits, and retirement options. You must be able to lift 50 lbs, work in a cold environment, and supervise or train teammates as needed. Pay starts at $19 per hour with opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally and 25 lbs. constantly.
• Knowledge of meat/seafood products and operations.
• Able to supervise people including training and development.
• Able to work in a cold environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and create a selling environment with selling skills.
• Achieve budgeted sales and maintain gross profits for meat and seafood.
• Maintain inventory and ensure in-stock conditions and proper ordering.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational programs.
• Maintain high quality and freshness; ensure items are in date.
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards in meat/seafood areas and prep spaces.
• Provide guidance and training to meat/seafood staff.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking, and guest service as needed.
• Manage labor budget and schedule hours to maximize sales and guest service.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
