Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Greenfield, MA is hiring for a Meat Department team member. You will assist Members, answer questions about meats and seafood, and help with product recommendations. You will weigh, wrap, label, and sometimes grind meat cuts, ensuring quality from delivery to display.

Responsibilities include stocking cases, rotating by expiration date, receiving shipments, and maintaining a clean, safe meat department environment to support a positive member experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists Members by answering questions about meats, poultry and seafood; makes product recommendations as needed.
• Weights, packages, wraps and labels meat, poultry and seafood cuts; may grind hamburger meat.
• Inspects and stores meat on delivery; ensures quality standards are met.
• Keeps meat, seafood, prepared foods and cheese cases fully stocked; rotates items by expiration date; dispose of damaged products per guidelines.
• Receives and unpacks meat, poultry, seafood, prepared foods and cheeses.
• Cleans and sanitizes all equipment, fixtures and areas in the meat department, including coolers and freezers.
