Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Meat Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced meat department. The role involves receiving and grinding meats, rotating stock, answering customer questions, and ensuring strict safety and sanitation standards.

The position requires reliability, strong teamwork and flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends. A high school diploma or equivalent is expected, with good math and measurement understanding to handle weights and product

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent with basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform other duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• General housekeeping in the department and sanitation of work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, and weights & measures regulations.
• Able to stand for up to 4 hours per stretch and 8 hours per shift.
• Must have good vision to use knives and meat processing tools.
• Able to lift/carry 25–90 lbs and move pallets up to 500 lbs.
• Able to move racks and tables weighing up to 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level customer service in the meat department.
• Receive, store, grind, and prepare meats; rotate stock.
• Assist customers with questions, orders, and product locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and adherence to “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4” programs.
