Job summary

Nugget Market, Inc. is seeking a personable Meat Clerk to engage guests with knowledge of meat and seafood and to provide world-class service across our stores. You will help create eye-catching displays, assist in house-made sausage preparation, and maintain product rotation and inventory controls.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, capable of multitasking, and eager to grow with a Fortune-listed employer recognized for its benefits and positive work environment.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Knowledge of power tools within the department.
• Basic knife skills.
• Basic understanding of English (read and communicate basic instructions).
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Basic math for quantity measurement, proportions, volume ratios and weight conversions.
• Ability to learn and retain product knowledge.
• A positive attitude is essential!

Responsibilities

• Share product knowledge and promote department items while delivering world-class service to guests.
• Set creative seafood and meat displays; prepare house-made sausages.
• Stock and rotate products; ensure inventory control and shrink management.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and attractive work environment.
• Travel to Davis, Sacramento - Florin Rd, Elk Grove, and Roseville locations.
