Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring a Meat Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced market setting. You will handle meat receipt, storage, grinding, and rotation, while maintaining a clean and safe work area and supporting special orders.

The role requires standing long hours, lifting up to 90 lbs, and flexible scheduling including nights and weekends. A friendly, reliable team player with basic math skills is ideal for this hands-on position.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent and basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Have and show an outgoing and friendly behavior; a positive attitude and the ability to interact with customers.
• Have the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes as the business changes including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area (tables, floor, walls, cases, cooler, freezer, etc.).
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations, and company recipes.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 90 lbs., and operate pallet jacks.
• Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment and move heavy items.
• Vision required for using cutting tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport products from delivery.
• Check weights and invoices to ensure accuracy and rotate stock to prevent aging.
• Maintain cleanliness and follow safety and sanitation procedures in the meat department.
