Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc is seeking a Meat and Seafood Manager to lead department staff, manage inventory and pricing integrity, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes guest service, product quality, and adherence to TFMA standards.

You will direct the team in cutting and preparing meat and seafood, ensuring rotation, and supporting Convenient Meal Solutions, while coaching staff to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, meat cutting and/or culinary experience.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old
• All TFMA certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct teams to handle, slice and prepare a variety of meat, seafood, and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members on-the-job and via internal training platform.
• Ensure training and certification of all Assistant Meat Managers and Meat Cutters.
• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service and recommendations.
• Manage order guides, ordering deadlines, shrink reduction, and proper stocking with rotation standards.
