Job summary

Big Y Foods, Inc. is seeking a Meat/Seafood Butcher to provide an exceptional customer experience by preparing and delivering the freshest quality cuts. You will maintain department conditions, inventory, and food safety standards while offering product knowledge to customers.

The role requires completing the Meat/Seafood Butcher training program or passing a meat skills test, a flexible schedule, and a clean, professional appearance in line with Big Y’s policies and culture.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient in ordering for the entire sales areas of both the meat and seafood departments.
• Must project a clean and professional appearance.
• Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
• Willingness to cross train and learn other areas as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
• Must have completed Meat/Seafood Butcher and Culinary Training Program and/or passed a meat skills test.
