The role requires attention to safety standards, product knowledge, and flexibility for evenings and weekends. You will work in a temperature-controlled environment and support core Meat Department operations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math knowledge.
• Dependable and reliable with ability to perform related duties.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work area and handle general housekeeping tasks.
• Adhere to safety, health, weights and measures regulations and recipes.
• Stand for long periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience with knives and meat processing equipment.
• Able to lift 25–90 lbs. and operate pallet jacks and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high level of customer service and safe food handling.
• Receive, store, and grind meats; unload and transport meats from delivery.
• Count, weigh, and check incoming articles against invoices.
• Rotate and inspect meats to prevent aging and maintain quality.
• Assist customers with questions and special orders; direct to product locations.
• Follow the department programs like Clean as You Go and Fresh at 4.
