Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is hiring a Meat & Seafood Clerk to keep all meat cases stocked and clean, assist customers, and maintain a friendly, energetic demeanor. You will follow department guidelines, inspect shipments, and ensure proper temperatures and labeling while using meat-cutting tools safely.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 1–2 years grocery experience; prior natural foods experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must maintain the highest level of customer service at all times.
• Ability to adapt to a high-volume retail environment and work in a cross-functional team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures cleanliness of meat and seafood cases, storage area, and work area for sanitation and safety.
• Stocks meat and seafood cases with proper presentation, tagging, and pricing accuracy.
• Inspects rotation and expiration of products; assists customers and answers questions at the meat counter.
• Receives, inspects, and logs shipments for accuracy and temperature control.
• Maintains safety practices and proper use of knives and meat machinery.
