Job summary

Fresh Thyme Market is seeking a Meat & Seafood Clerk to keep all meat and seafood cases stocked and clean, while assisting customers with purchases and product selection. You will follow department guidelines, maintain proper temperatures, and ensure accurate pricing and labeling.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years in grocery retail meat, and a safety-conscious, team-oriented attitude. Flexible scheduling and a fast-paced environment are common.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency degree.
• 1-2 years grocery retail experience in Meat department is preferred.
• Experience in natural foods industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of meat and seafood cases and surrounding areas.
• Stock, present, and rotate meat and seafood products.
• Assist customers with purchases and product selection.
• Handle labeling, tagging, and temperature controls.
• Operate/measures equipment safely and follow safety procedures.
• Support pre-inventory and department organization.
