Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you will work in a popular department, providing high-level customer service, practicing safe food handling, and maintaining product knowledge. Your duties include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and following departmental procedures such as "Clean as You Go" and "Fresh at 4." This role requires adherence to safety and procedural guidelines and thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with strong customer interaction skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and team participation ability.
• Ability to perform housekeeping and sanitation tasks.
• Adherence to safety, health, and regulatory standards.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, walk up to 2 miles, lift/carry up to 90 lbs., and operate equipment like pallet jacks and knives safely.
