Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk, you'll work in a key department of our store, providing high-quality customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge. Your duties include receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining cleanliness through our 'Clean as You Go' and 'Fresh at 4' programs. Adherence to departmental procedures and a fast-paced work style are essential.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess basic math skills.
• Be dependable, reliable, and customer-focused with a positive attitude.
• Be flexible to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the department.
• Follow all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines.
• Be capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles, and lifting/carrying weights up to 90 lbs.
• Possess good vision for working with sharp tools and machinery.

Compensation and Benefits
