Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will work in one of our most popular departments! Your main responsibilities include providing high-level customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge and preparation techniques. This hands-on role involves receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions and special orders; and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the department. Adherence to procedural guidelines and a positive, customer-focused attitude are essential. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic math skills.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to perform related duties as assigned.
• Outgoing, friendly, and positive attitude with good communication skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Capable of lifting 25-90 lbs., using a pallet jack, and moving racks and tables as specified.
• Good vision for handling sharp tools and equipment.

Pay Range

$16.70 - $22.55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
