Responsibilities

As a Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will work in a popular department of our store. Your responsibilities include providing high-level customer service, practicing safe food handling, and demonstrating product knowledge and preparation techniques. This hands-on role involves receiving, storing, and grinding meats; unloading and transporting meats and poultry from delivery trucks; counting, weighing, and verifying incoming products; examining and rotating meats to prevent aging; assisting customers with questions, special orders, and needs; and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. You will also be knowledgeable about weekly ad items, guide customers to product locations, and follow our "Clean as You Go" and "Fresh at 4" programs. Qualifications

To qualify as a Meat Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have basic math, weights, and measures knowledge.
• Be dependable, reliable, and perform other duties as assigned.
• Display outgoing, friendly behavior, a positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have good communication skills, follow directions, and work well in a team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area.
• Follow all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines, including company recipes.
• Capable of standing for up to 8 hours, walking up to 2 miles per shift.
• Work inside temperature-controlled areas and handle sharp tools and equipment safely.
• Lift and carry products weighing between 25 to 90 lbs., and operate equipment like pallet jacks and move racks and tables as specified.
