Job summary

The Wenger Group is seeking a Production Planner in Souderton, PA to convert daily demand into executable schedules across harvest, fabrication, deboning, grinding, and packaging operations. You will balance material availability, line capacity, yields, and shelf-life constraints while ensuring USDA/FSIS compliance and OTIF performance.

As a key member of Operations, you will partner with Sales, QA/FSQA, Procurement, and Logistics to keep plans aligned.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of production leadership experience in meat or food processing strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, cold-chain environment.

Responsibilities

• Convert customer demand into executable daily/weekly production schedules across harvest, fabrication, grinding, and packaging operations.
• Balance material availability, labor, line capacity, yields, and shelf-life constraints to meet OTIF, quality, and cost targets.
• Lead shift activities to meet production schedules and output goals.
• Monitor line performance, labor efficiency, and first-pass quality; adjust staffing and machine settings as needed.
• Communicate plan changes to team members and cross-functional partners; supervise and coach production employees.
