Job summary

Central Valley Meat is seeking a General Production Worker to support multiple areas of the meat production workflow, including trimming, weighing, packaging and boxing finished products. You will help uphold food safety and quality standards, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 lbs, and working in a fast-paced facility with temperature variations and loud equipment.

Qualifications

• General knowledge of machinery and production operations.
• Previous experience in meat processing and packing is an asset.
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
• Commitment to safety and food quality processes.
• Ability to work under cold or hot conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work in various areas of the meat production workflow (e.g., trimming, weighing, labeling, packing).
• Assist in maintaining food safety and quality programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and adhere to safety procedures.
• Operate or assist with equipment in a safe, efficient manner.
• Support ongoing improvements to food safety practices.
