Job summary

Cheney Brothers is seeking a meat processing teammate for a first shift in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will process and pack meat products to order, using hand tools and machines, starting at 5:45am and finishing around 3pm, with pay from $16 per hour depending on experience.

You must have a high school diploma or GED and 1+ year of experience in a food service or production setting. Work in refrigerated environments (~40F) and lift up to 80 lbs daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year experience in food service or food production environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 6 hours).
• Ability to work in refrigerated environments (~40F).
• Physical ability to lift up to 80 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Process and pack meat products to order specifications using hand tools and machines.
• Inspect and prep meats (beef, pork, lamb) to specified standards.
• Maintain and operate cutting/processing equipment safely.
• Receive and inspect meat and maintain stock levels on the production line.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMPs, USDA, SQF and sanitation requirements.
