Job summary

JBS Foods is hiring for quality, motivated individuals to join the production floor as general laborers in a meat processing environment. Workers will perform tasks on the kill floor, in coolers, and loading docks, often under high-speed, high-demand conditions.

Responsibilities include knife handling, bagging/boxing product, wearing PPE, and maintaining cleanliness and safety protocols. Heavy lifting and extended hours are common, with weekend shifts as scheduled. EOE with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Physical labor in a meat processing environment.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Must follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Use knives, steel, and hooks to perform job tasks.
• Keep knife sharp; request assistance if needed.
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Bag and box product.
• Must use proper PPE effectively.
• Expected to lift over 50 pounds.
• Keep work areas clean and follow food safety protocols.
• Adhere to JBS specifications for product quality.
• May shave or wash animal meat before packing.
• Inspect meat or packaging.
• Stay aware of surroundings and notify supervisor of hazards.
• Other duties as assigned.
