Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking a hands-on Production Manager for a meat processing facility in Northeast Georgia. The role focuses on leading daily operations from the production floor, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time production while developing staff and solving problems to keep production moving.

Qualifications

• Previous production management or supervisory experience in meat processing, food manufacturing, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and employee-management skills.
• Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, GMP, and HACCP requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
• Comfortable working directly on the production floor and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily meat processing and production operations
• Lead, train, schedule, and supervise production employees
• Ensure production schedules and customer requirements are met
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, yield, waste, and downtime
• Maintain high standards for product quality and food safety
• Ensure employees follow USDA, HACCP, GMP, sanitation, and company procedures
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality/Food Safety, Sanitation, Shipping, and Management
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and help determine corrective actions
• Maintain proper staffing and communicate daily production priorities
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and control costs
• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
• Complete required production records and reports
