Job summary
Aerotek is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician for a permanent, onsite role in Reading, PA. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize highly automated meat processing equipment to ensure safe, reliable operations on 1st and 2nd shifts.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electromechanical or industrial maintenance experience, strong knowledge of 120V–480V electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and the ability to read schematics and blueprints.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in electromechanical or industrial maintenance, preferably in food/manufacturing.
- Experience with 120V–480V electrical systems and safety practices.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose PLCs and automation signals without programming.
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical docs.
- Proficient lockout/tagout and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize production equipment with safety first.
- Diagnose and repair electromechanical issues on food processing lines.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Troubleshoot PLCs and automation signals (no programming required).
- Read blueprints and electrical schematics to plan repairs.
