Job summary

US Foods is hiring for a role at the Chicago Stock Yards in Aurora, IL. The position involves preparing and packing meat products to meet production demands, following strict food safety and GMP standards, and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires working in refrigerated conditions 35°F–45°F and freezer environments (-10°F to +10°F) with potential overtime. High School diploma or GED is preferred, plus related production or warehouse experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is preferred with basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Related experience in production, warehouse, food processing, manufacturing or food service warehouse environments preferred.
• Knowledge of safety regulations (GMP) and the ability to work in refrigerated environments with overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced environment preparing meat products to feed lines and/or for next processing stage.
• Effectively utilize tools, processes and materials to process and package meat products within planned schedules.
• Follow all Food Safety requirements and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
• Perform visual inspection of meat products to meet specifications.
• Meet company standards and customer specifications.
• Assist in cleanliness of general work area.
