Job summary

US Foods is seeking a warehouse associate to support stock and order fulfillment at the Chicago Stock Yards site in Aurora, IL. The role involves picking, packing, data capture, and palletizing to meet customer specifications.

You will operate material handling equipment, maintain cold storage areas, and ensure product quality and proper temperatures per company and regulatory standards. Overtime and Saturdays may be required based on inventory needs.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Basic Reading, Writing and Math skills.
• Minimum one-year production and/or warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pack orders per customer specification.
• Scan product as directed to capture required data.
• Sort, organize, repack, palletize, track, weight and break down various products to assist production as needed.
• Ship and Receive product utilizing assigned material handling equipment.
• Perform various facility sanitation duties as required.
• Complete miscellaneous other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain coolers and freezers organized with all product in proper locations.
• Check inbound and outbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet etc.
• Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foods food safety and RRE requirements.
• Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are loaded or unloaded.
• Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.
• Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking.
