Job summary

US Foods in Aurora, IL is hiring for a 1st shift meat production role. You will prepare and pack meat products, feed lines, and help keep processing on schedule while following GMP and food safety requirements.

The job involves standing in refrigerated environments, overtime as needed, and lifting up to 50 lbs. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with prior experience in production or food processing advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work continuously in refrigerated environments (35°F–45°F) and for periods in freezer environments (−10°F to +10°F) with company‑provided apparel.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• High school graduate or GED preferred with basic reading, writing, and math skills.
• Experience in production, warehouse, or food‑processing settings preferred.
• Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs frequently.

Shift & Schedule

1st Shift – Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm with overtime and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Physical Requirements

• Stand continuously; sit occasionally.
• Walk, drive, and perform light to moderate lifting tasks throughout the shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs frequently; never lift over 100 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull, step/climb, stoop/squat, kneel, bend, and grasp objects as needed.

Compensation & Benefits

Base pay ranges from $20.00 to $20.75 per hour, with overtime compensation as applicable. Benefits may include health insurance, pre‑tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short‑term and long‑term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
