Job summary

US Foods in Spokane Valley, WA is hiring a 1st shift Meat Processing Equipment Operator. Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with overtime, in a refrigerated facility (35°F–45°F).

You will operate CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer and Portion Cutter to portion, label and pack meat products. Responsibilities include counting and stacking portions to specs, labeling with product codes, setting up packing areas, and performing end‑of‑day duties while maintaining GMP and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Experience with meat processing equipment preferred.
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment 35°F 45°F.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

1st shift

Stock Yards Facility, Spokane Valley WA

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operation of Meat Processing Equipment; CryoVac, MultiVacs, Dicers, Needle, Slicer, Portion Cutters, Scales, Pack, trim and customize portions of meat products using knives, or other meat production equipment.
• Count and stack on tray portions per customer and company specifications.
• Label portion with supplied number product labels.
• Set up packing and labeling area as required.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Actively maintain, and merchandise partial cart.
• Keep packing area and cutting room and surrounding area clean and sanitized.
• Follow company GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) to maintain sanitary conditions.
• Perform end of day functions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.

SUPERVISION:

• The incumbent is not required to provide direct supervision for any position.

RELATIONSHIPS:

• Internal: The incumbent is required to interact with employees at all levels of responsibility throughout the company.
• External: The incumbent may be required to perform demonstration cuts or packing for tours, and sales team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work continually in a refrigerated environment 35°F- 45°F. Incumbent must have the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Finish time is when work is completed and could require overtime with or without notice.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with CryoVac, MultiVac, Dicers, Needle, Slicer,Portion Cutter, laser portion machinery or other meat production equipment is preferred.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00 - $24.00.
