Job summary

North Freeze Dry is seeking a Meat Preparation Utility Operator to support and back up the Meat Preparation Operator in our Little Falls, MN production facility. This role follows operational manuals and quality criteria while contributing to batch production.

You will perform equipment operations, inspect materials, maintain logs, and assist with process improvements. The position requires ability to lift 50 pounds, and forklift certification is preferred or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of manufacturing/production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow food safety, quality and workplace safety procedures.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Team-oriented with ability to work in a collaborative environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Produce the required quantity of batched recipes within specifications and plan.
• Inspect dry ingredients and other materials for quality and recipe compliance.
• Maintain logs of units produced and record errors.
• Perform pre-operational equipment checks and preventive maintenance.
• Maintain sanitation per Quality Program and Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Interface with ERP system for inventory control and lot traceability.
• Back-up Meat Preparation Operator and rotate between tasks.
• Operate equipment including meat block breaking, grinding, mixing, emulsification, chub filling.
• Keep area clean and dispose of waste properly.
• Assist other lines as needed.
