Job summary

Teamprovide seeks a seasoned QA and Food Safety Leader for a meat and poultry production facility in Illinois. You’ll oversee QA, ensure USDA compliance, and drive GMPs, HACCP plans, and the SQF system, while coordinating audits and corrective actions.

You will manage the QA team and collaborate with production, sanitation, regulatory, laboratory, and customer teams to maintain safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• USDA experience is required.
• Demonstrated management experience.
• Completed HACCP-based training.
• Certified SQF Practitioner.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA and food safety across the facility, ensuring sanitary operations and USDA compliance.
• Develop, implement, and monitor GMPs, HACCP plans, and the SQF system.
• Conduct audits and inspections, maintain documentation, and manage corrective actions.
• Support regulatory and certification audits.
• Supervise and develop the QA team, setting training and performance expectations.
• Coordinate with production, sanitation, regulatory, laboratory, and customer-facing teams.
• Oversee incoming material inspections, product disposition, and packaging specifications.
• Manage microbiological programs, pest control, and sanitation procedures.
• Address customer concerns and ensure products meet safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
