Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a Meat Department leader to assist in planning, organizing, and directing daily meat operations. You will cost out materials, develop staff through training, and teach fundamentals of meat production, including cutting, slicing, wrapping, and finishing.

The role focuses on merchandising, cross-department collaboration, labor and inventory control, security, and maintaining accurate department records.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organization, and direction of Meat Department activities.
• Cost out all materials to determine proper retails.
• Aid in development and growth of department personnel through training and evaluation procedures.
• Teach fundamentals of meat production including cutting, slicing, scaling, wrapping, and finishing.
• Plan aggressive merchandising programs to increase sales.
• Assist management with cross merchandising ideas with other departments.
• Assist in maintaining effective control of department labor and inventory within budgets and guidelines.
• Maintain department security in compliance with company policy and directives.
• Maintain awareness of competitive activity within store marketing areas as it relates to the Meat Department.
• Ensure smooth flow of products and service through coordination with other departments.
• Maintain adequate department records at all times.
