Job Description

Perform general product preparation, clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, prefabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, serving customers, and other functions in accordance with company policies.
  2. Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained.
  3. Stock and display meat items safely and in accordance with company standards.
  4. Check product quality; ensure proper rotation and freshness.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms, coolers, carts, tools, and supplies.
  6. Ensure floors are clean, safe, and free of clutter.
  7. Provide good customer and associate relations, communicate effectively, and make a friendly impression on customers.
  8. Unload trucks, sort orders, and store items in proper cooler locations.
  9. Wash and sanitize equipment per company and health department policies.
  10. Promptly and cheerfully serve customers, greet them, and provide quality foods.
  11. Support store sales and profits through retail operations and marketing programs.
  12. Maintain professionalism, adhere to policies, and foster a harassment- and discrimination-free work environment.
  13. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts tactfully.
  14. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  15. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
  16. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
  17. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
Minimum
  • Willing to work weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
