Minimum Requirements
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, and product labels.
- Must work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and operate certain equipment.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to handle stressful situations tactfully and calmly, making a positive impression on associates and customers.
Desired Qualifications
- Meat work experience or similar in food preparation.
- Dependability and integrity reflected in past work records.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handling.
- Ability to perform tasks such as cutting, grinding, slicing, preparing, processing, trimming, tenderizing, sealing, packaging, wrapping, bagging, pricing, pre-fabricating, dating, labeling, scaling, merchandising, selling, and serving customers in accordance with company policies.
- Keep department temperature logs accurately updated.
- Stock and display meat items safely and properly rotate stock.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in sales areas, backrooms, and coolers.
- Provide excellent customer and associate relations and communicate effectively.
- Unload trucks, sort orders, and place items in proper cooler locations.
- Sanitize equipment according to policies and health regulations.
- Greet customers and provide quality service promptly and cheerfully.
- Support store sales and profits through retail operations and marketing.
- Maintain professionalism in all interactions, adhere to policies, and promote a harassment-free environment.
- Work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments, managing conflicts appropriately.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
