Position: Meat Cutter

Overview: Carlie C's IGA is seeking an EXPERIENCED Meat Cutter to fill an immediate opening. Candidates must have prior experience in all cuts of beef, pork, and chicken in a Grocery Store Meat Market environment. Proficiency with band saws, slicers, cubers, grinders, and knives is required. Wrapping skills and adherence to sanitation and safety standards are essential. This is a full-time position with optional benefits, requiring 40 hours per week, including weekends and most holidays.

Responsibilities:

1. Cutting, grinding, slicing, trimming, weighing, sealing, packaging, and labeling products.
2. Unloading trucks, proper storage, checking product dates, and rotation.
3. Sanitizing and cleaning equipment and maintaining a clean meat department floor.
4. Assisting customers in finding products and providing prompt, friendly service.

Qualifications:

1. Ability to lift up to 80 lbs without assistance.
2. At least 18 years old, with a neat appearance and friendly demeanor.
3. Enjoys working with the public and is customer-oriented.
4. Ability to read shelf tags, labels, and signs.
5. Proven work record as a Meat Cutter.
