Broulim’s is seeking a Meat Clerk to join our meat department in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist customers, weigh, package, and display meat products while ensuring the counter is clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

This non-exempt, part-time role requires teamwork, the ability to stand for long periods, and flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Prior grocery or customer-service experience is a plus, with a focus on friendly, proactive service.

Examples of Duties:

• Assist customers in selecting, weighing, and packaging meat products.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
• Receive, inspect, and stock incoming meat products within the department and deli wall, rotating inventory to ensure freshness.
• Answer customer inquiries and provide information about various meat cuts and products.
• Operate and maintain meat department equipment, such as scales and slicers.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and contribute to a positive working environment.

Knowledge:

• Familiarity with various meat cuts and preparation techniques and a willingness to learn best cuts for certain meat dishes.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
