C&K Market Inc. is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to oversee staff, ensure quality products, and drive sales and profit goals while delivering excellent customer service.

You will hire, train, and supervise meat department staff, direct daily cutting, wrapping, and merchandising activities, and ensure compliance with safety standards. This role requires strong leadership and knowledge of meat cutting and merchandising.

Oversees the Meat Department, supervising staff, ensuring quality products, and achieving sales and profit goals while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise meat department staff.
• Plan, schedule, and direct daily cutting, wrapping, and merchandising activities.
• Order, receive, and inspect meat products for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and department paperwork.
• Meet or exceed sales, margin, and labor goals.
• Perform cutting, trimming, wrapping, and grinding duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage budgets, scheduling, and inventory.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).
• Lift/move up to 60 lbs regularly.
• Work in refrigerated environments.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Varied schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Sales and profit goals achieved.
• Labor costs maintained within budget.
• Food safety and sanitation audit scores.
