Job summary

C&K Market Inc. is seeking a Meat Department Supervisor to oversee daily operations, staff supervision, and product quality in our Oregon store. You will lead cutting, wrapping, and merchandising activities while ensuring excellent customer service and compliance with safety standards.

In this role, you will manage schedules, inventory, and budgets, drive sales growth, and uphold high food-safety scores. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and hands-on meat-cutting expertise

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in meat cutting or foodservice is required.
• Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of meat cutting, merchandising, and food safety standards.
• Ability to manage budgets, scheduling, and inventory.

Job description

Oversees the Meat Department, supervising staff, ensuring quality products, and achieving sales and profit goals while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and supervise meat department staff.
• Plan, schedule, and direct daily cutting, wrapping, and merchandising activities.
• Order, receive, and inspect meat products for quality and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and department paperwork.
• Meet or exceed sales, margin, and labor goals.
• Perform cutting, trimming, wrapping, and grinding duties as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours).

• Food safety and sanitation audit scores.

Varied schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
