Job summary

Kroger in Colorado is seeking a proactive Meat department leader to plan, organize, train and direct the team while maximizing store sales. You will ensure safety, quality and customer service as core values guide daily operations.

Responsibilities include coaching staff, maintaining temperature logs, pricing and display, budgeting input, and implementing company programs to improve processes. Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, train and direct Meat department associates.
• Demonstrate company values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy; handle complaints.
• Maintain temperature logs and ensure accurate recordings.
• Price and display merchandise; ensure signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop Meat staff and ensure proper use of skills.
• Implement company programs and procedures and ensure harassment-free environment.
• Make hiring/firing decisions and evaluate staff.
• Supervise and coach reports; conduct performance reviews.
• Manage workloads in a high-paced environment.
